A New Year For New Adventures
January is upon us tomorrow, and here in Litchfield County, that means ski slopes and brisk walks to curated shops or in wintry forests nearby, that lead back to warm hearths and saunas, therapeutic soaks and restorative steams. Wellness at Belden bathhouse awaits, as do our lusciously appointed rooms with Frette linens and Wildsmith bath products. Begin a new year at Belden and explore our Town Guides and Winter "Itineraries" and Shopping Guide for ideas of what to do while you're in town.
Another Architectural Walking Tour will take place on Saturday, January 17, in partnership with the Litchfield Historical Society and leaving from our front porch. See our Culture Calendar for ideas of what to do and to time your visit to Belden around, and enjoy our End of Year Offering through January 4, for 15% off 2026 bookings.
New Beginnings Are Sweet
The dinner menu is brimming with warming dishes, such as Seafood Bisque with blood orange sabayon; Agnolotti with pistachio, saffron & aleppo pepper; Braised Short Rib with sunchoke & persimmon, but it's important to start a new year with something sweet, such as Chef Tyler Heckman's Molecule Chocolate Ganache with tamarind & guajillo chili, pictured.
Wood Dragon Oolong, Darjeeling, Lapsang Souchong and White Peony teas by local tea impressario In Pursuit of Tea, which sources the finest single origin leaves directly from farmers, ensuring its quality and purity. Tea service includes a plentiful array of savory and sweet items, such as traditionally inspired tea sandwiches (cucumber, egg salad, curried chicken), scones with clotted cream and jam.
Belden bathhouse beckons with steam, sauna, Ofuro tub for hydrotherapies, NOHRD gym equipment, private Pilates and personal training. Wildsmith wellness treatments, such as Radical Botany Facials, massages and scrubs, use circadian rhythms, helping you to adjust your internal clock to the changing seasons.
