July Newsletter: America's Birthday In Litchfield
Celebratory July Is Upon Us
July 4th marks our nation's 250th birthday and summer's blissful apex. Stay with us for the 4th and all summer long to experience the quintessential New England energy of our historic and vibrant town.
If you're in need of an escape for the long weekend, we still have a couple of rooms available, including our 3-bedroom Penthouse Suite, and we've removed the 3-night minimum, so book a stay even for a night or two.
See highlights from Belden's Culture Calendar below for more of what's great in Litchfield County this month.
Explore our mid-week offers: Overnight with Breakfast, 2-Night and Minibreak (3 nights), and Wellness Credit.
Lobster Rolls For Summer
Chef Tyler Heckman keeps it simply delicious with his Lobster Roll with Bibb lettuce and brown butter. The simultaneously low-key and luxurious summer staple is availble on our lunch menu and at the Pool.
Reminder: Every Monday through Thursday, we serve $8 petite martinis – "Tiny 'Tinis" and $2 oysters from 4:30 to 6pm, and we serve Sunday Brunch from 8am to 4pm.
Belden Bathhouse
Movement classes in partnership with Charym have launched on Belden's West Lawn! This Friday, July 3, join us for Qigong with Ethan Williams at 5:30pm, Qigong is an ancient mind-body practice that combines gentle movement, breathwork, and mindful awareness to cultivate energy, reduce stress, improve balance, and support overall well-being.
Our first Functional Fitness class with Victoria Mazzarelli is Satuday, July 4, 9-10am. Build strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence through a unique blend of functional movement, mindful flow, and body-weight conditioning. Inspired by elements of ballet, Tai Chi, and mobility training, this gentle yet effective class helps improve posture, core strength, coordination, and ease of movement in everyday life.
Yoga With The Birds at Ripley
Join Ethan Williams this Sunday, July 6, 9-10am for an outdoor Qigong class among the rare birds of Ripley's Waterfowl Conservancy.
Classes are weather dependent. Suitable for all levels, this standing practice requires no mat or equipment. Simply wear comfortable clothing and enjoy moving outdoors in a beautiful natural setting.
