June Newsletter: Seasonal Splendor
Outdoor Beauty, Indoor Bounty
May was fruitful: Belden were celebrated with awards from Hospitality Design and Preservation Connecticut. June is nearly here and it's time to take a deep breath in and a big exhale. The wather is a balm and we have amenities galore to make your stay here in inspiring Litchfield restorative, sophisticated and resoundingly delicious.
There are myriad special events in Litchfield County this month, from the beloved Litchfield Hills Road Race (6/14), to SHAG (6/26-6/28), art exhibitions and fireworks to celebrate America 250. See highlights from Belden's Culture Calendar below for more of what's great in our "neighborhood" this month.
Our 50-foot swimming pool is now open for the season so book summer stays now, and note our mid-week offers - Overnight, 2-Night and Minibreak (3 nights), good through June 31, and Wellness Credit.
Spring On Your Plate
There are so many light, bright spring dishes that celebrate the season. From our luscious Seafood Tower to Spring Greens with guanciale and poached egg; Chilled Asparagus with lemon koji and smoked trout, and Koshihikari Rice with Soft Shell Crab & nori, Chef Tyler Heckman's locally sourced approach with seafood from the New England shoreline is particularly sweet this time of year.
Reminder: Every Monday through Thursday, we serve $8 petite martinis – "Tiny 'Tinis" and $2 oysters from 4:30 to 6pm, and we serve Sunday Brunch from 8am to 4pm.
Treat yourself – or give the gift of a private bathhouse escape to someone who needs it. Begin with a hydrotherapy ritual of sauna, steam, and cold plunge before settling into Wildsmith Time, our two-hour treatment combining therapeutic massage, craniosacral holds, and reflexology.
Reminder that we are also available for appointments for non-hotel guests, with more availability mid-week. Call us at 1.860.352.1068 or email
to book.
Every summer Sunday at 9am, Belden guests are invited to a special yoga class led by Charym at Ripley's Waterfowl Conservancy (5 min. drive) followed by a tour.
POOL IS COOL
We're serving delightful bites poolside this summer, such as Smoked Onion Dip with housemade potato chips; Lobster Roll; our adored Turkey Sandwich; Belden Burger; our new Celery Ceasar & more.
