Tim Love Lee, the British DJ and producer behind the Tummy Touch label, has spent recent years lending his industry experience to artists like Carly Simon, Killing Joke, and Shabaka Hutchings. In the 2010s he steered Tummy Touch toward reissues, bringing back early material from funk legend Steve Arrington and obscure trip hop cuts by Skylab, alongside new disco rock from Phenomenal Handclap Band. Now, decades after his debut album as a selector and sample collagist, he's returning with new material in 2023 built around analog synthesizers, marking his shift from crate digging archivist to original composer.
