The concept of Membership has a historical precedent here and in our environs. When the Litchfield Firehouse was built in 1891 by Julius Deming Perkins, he created a gentlemen's club on its 2nd floor — Tweeds and Tees — where the fire brigade could unwind and make merry.
Recently awarded a coveted MICHELIN Key and named #1 New Resort In The U.S. by Travel + Leisure, Belden House & Mews is honored to be recognized for immaculate full-scale hospitality. Membership at Belden House & Mews will offer an in-town gathering place to dine and meet, while Belden bathhouse provides a refuge for self-care, Wildsmith Treatments and Thermal Rituals, a pool and a lawn club.
Enjoy Member access to Belden bathhouse, including its steam room, sauna, and Japanese Ofuro tub for cold plunge and hydrotherapies. Designed to support recovery, repair and balance, our Wildsmith Treatments and Thermal Experiences are inspired by the universal principle of circadian rhythm and delivered by highly trained practitioners who will guide and help deliver profound results. Members receive preferred pricing to support and encourage a regular treatment routine.

Bathhouse Studio & Local Wellness
Utilize our fitness studio with NOHRD equipment during one-on-one personal training sessions. Structural Integration, Katonah yoga, alignment & PT sessions are available on site with a preferred member rate and additional savings on 5- and 10-packs.
Wellness extends beyond Belden itself and into the surrounding community through thoughtful partnerships. Membership benefits include 5 complimentary classes per month at Charym Movement Studio, along with a 15% discount on all private and small group sessions.
Members also receive 15% off bike rentals and tours at Rifugio, encouraging time spent outdoors in the landscape that surrounds us.
Firehouse
Constructed in 1891, this brick edifice was once home to a gentlemen's club referred to as Tweeds and Tees. Currently undergoing thoughtful updates, the parlor and top floors will once again serve as a clubhouse for members to gather. Refreshed in collaboration with Champalimaud Design, this space features multiple working fireplaces, grand windows and comfortable furnishings.
Serving as a third space, hard to come by in our community, members can gather to mix and mingle, bring guests for meetings, use the space to work or play. Enjoy coffee service and a full-service bar. Order breakfast and lunch from the dining room and use the game table for a round of backgammon. Gather for program, exclusive for the member community. Use Firehouse as your home away from home.
Please note that the Firehouse is not yet available for use, and is anticipated to open Autumn 2026. If you become a member before it opens, your membership will be extended gratis for the length of time it was unavailable at the start of your membership.
Pool & Lawn Club
We have a 50-foot pool in the historic center of Litchfield, and Members — age 12 and up — have access to it.
Our seasonal lawn "club" offers a lovely place to enjoy the country air, catch up with friends and cool off with a cocktail. Enjoy some gloriously unhurried downtime here, or join fellow members for one of our scheduled happenings.
Dine at Belden
Belden House & Mews is honored to be recognized as one of Connecticut’s Top New Restaurants. Sourced with care from nearby farms and the New England coast, composed elegantly and served with warmth, Belden House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is open to the public with a reservation. Members will be prioritized in booking requests.
Sunday Brunch is offered from 8am to 4pm. Afternoon Tea is offered Sunday through Thursday, 2pm to 4:30pm with a reservation. Oysters & Tiny 'Tinis is offered every Monday to Thursday from 4:30-6pm.
Members enjoy a monthly $100 food and beverage credit, and have access to the member-only Secret Cellar wine list with preferred pricing on bottles.

- $150 initiation fee
