MICHELIN Key 2025

"Comprising a Queen Anne mansion and midcentury “Mews” building of notable modernist design, this three-acre estate is a stone’s throw from Connecticut’s largest natural lake. Victorian staircases and original fireplaces punctuate the chic, modern design, and the real gem is Belden Bathhouse with its robust wellness facilities." — MICHELIN
NEW: One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
"Belden House & Mews brings full-scale hospitality back to Litchfield’s center, more than a century after the town’s original grand hotel was lost to fire. Built in 1888 by Dr. Charles O. Belden, the main house has been redesigned by Champalimaud Design, with Victorian staircases, original fireplaces, and subtle updates that preserve the building’s character. Behind it, a 1959 mews holds 31 light-filled rooms with custom furniture and and garden access. The village green is just around the corner, but the atmosphere here feels worlds apart."
